I will have to give the raptor petcock a try. Is this the reason for the difference in the petcocks between the brands? Or is there something wrong with my petcock or carb? Thanks for any info you can give me. I also read the Suzuki has some sort of vacuum carb that is not common to ATVs. If I took the fuel line off the Yamaha or Hondas I have owned, fuel ran freely with the petcock set to on or reserve and only stopped when turned to off. I have had other relatively new ATVs, such as Hondas and Yamahas. This is the first relatively new Suzuki I have owned. If I turn the petcock to on or reserve, no fuel comes out. If I take the fuel line off the carb and turn the petcock to PRI, fuel runs out freely. They cleaned the carb, and now it again runs fine. Then recently after sitting without running for a few weeks, my Z400 wouldn't run at all. If I turn the petcock back to PRI, it runs fine. It will then die as though it ran out of gas. It will run with the petcock set to on or reserve, but only for a few minutes. It will run only with the fuel valve/petcock turned to PRI. It ran fine when I bought it except for one thing. I have a 2004 Z400 I purchased used from the original owner in 2006.
